Yoga for pelvic pain
Yoga and neuroscience unite! Research shows that understanding the science of pain significantly improves a person’s ability to control pain and return to function. This unique series was developed by a pelvic health physiotherapist and certified yoga instructor, to put this to practice. Men and women are welcome to join.
During this unique 7 week series participants will:
- Be progressively introduced to the nervous system’s role in pain control and learn accompanying research based pain control strategies
- Use yoga as a tool to practice pain control strategies during a guided yoga class
- Explore sensation, mindfulness, breath and movement
- Build an individualized home yoga program that is based in current neuroscience
Participants may be experiencing but are not limited to: Urinary urgency, endometriosis, IBS, painful bladder syndrome, genital pain, prostatitis
