Dr. Alime Büyük PhD – Health Promotion Program Director & Massage Therapist
Dr. Alime Büyük earned her PhD in Women’s Health Physiotherapy from Pamukkale University and has conducted extensive collaborative research at the University of Sherbrooke’s LaboMorin Urogynecology Laboratory in Canada. In Quebec Alime is a licensed massage therapist and a member of the Association des Massothérapeutes du Québec. For ASK, she will be combining her skills as a rehabilitation exepert to educate our patients and create individual and group programming.
Alime has dedicated her career to advancing education and clinical practice in pelvic health physiotherapy. She teaches internationally and has presented at conferences such as the International Pelvic Pain Society conference and the World Association for Sexual Health. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, covering topics such as pelvic floor dysfunction, sexual health and lymphedema management.
Dr. Büyük holds leadership roles in notable organizations, including serving as the Chair of the Social Media Committee and Advisory Board Member for the International Pelvic Pain Society. She is also an active member of the Ehlers-Danlos Society’s Pelvic Disorder Working Group.
In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Büyük is passionate about promoting holistic well-being through clinical yoga and evidence-based therapeutic practices. Outside her professional life, she enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and exploring diverse cultures through travel and language learning, speaking Turkish, English, and German. She is currently learning French.
